Jukka Laajarinne is a Finnish author who has previously won the Nordic Picture Book Award (Granny’s Machine, 2005), and received two nominations for the prestigious Finlandia Junior Prize. He enjoys success across several genres, writing not only children’s books but also novels, science fiction, short stories and essays.
Timo Mänttäriis a Finnish illustrator and versatile graphic designer whose work includes children's books, book jackets, film graphics, postcards and posters. He lives and works in Helsinki, where he enjoys old films and bookshops, playing Lego with his two daughters and exploring the city on foot.
