Interlink Publishing offers a year round internship program. We believe in bringing real world experience to the next generation of the publishing industry. We are a small family-run company that prides itself on creating excellent books of the highest standard. For all our roles, passion, care and attention to detail are paramount. We will help you understand the intricacies of day-to-day business operations and you will gain hands on experience that you will be able to utilize throughout your career. In return, we look to our interns to bring fresh ideas and a positive attitude.

Role Description Desired Skills
Marketing Intern

Our marketing interns will have the chance to work on marketing campaigns for all our front list titles. They will work on implementing specific promotions, as well as performing day-to-day marketing tasks such as posting on social media and sending out e-mail campaigns.

 

Key responsibilities will be:
– Content creation, including social media assets and posting
– Marketing research
– Marketing/Publicity outreach
– Creating A+ content for Amazon
– Photographing books

A positive attitude
Professional e-mail manner
Some knowledge of photoshop is useful but not required

Design Intern

As the design intern we will offer you the chance to make your mark on our forthcoming books—from input on cover design and creative production solutions to supporting the marketing team in the creation of marketing print and digital assets.

 

Key responsibilities will be:
– Creating Social Assets
– Supporting the layout and typesetting of the books
– Researching book trends and styles
– Creating marketing assets for promotions

Experience and knowledge of Indesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator is preferable.
Attention to detail
A love for print design work & typography
